About NSR
10 years of learning, side by side.
Newton School Riga was founded in 2017 by a small group of parents who wanted a school that was rigorous, internationally-minded, and unambiguously kind. We've grown — but those founding instincts still shape everything we do.

Our mission
To be a respectful, learning-focused community where each student is inspired to achieve their potential, and to become an ethical, confident, internationally-minded citizen of tomorrow.
What we stand for
Four values, lived daily.
Respect
For each person, for ideas, and for the communities we belong to.
Curiosity
Asking better questions matters more than memorising answers.
Integrity
Doing the right thing — especially when it is the harder thing.
Internationalism
Holding multiple perspectives at once, with genuine respect.
Our story
From a parent initiative to a World School.
Newton School opened its doors in a single rented building in 2017, with 28 students and an unusually ambitious staff.
Today we operate from new campus at Baznicas iela, welcome students from more than 15 nationalities, and send our graduates to leading universities across Europe, the UK, and North America. What hasn't changed is the way teachers know every child by name.
We are independently governed, non-selective in spirit, and accountable to the community we serve — not to a parent group or franchise.
Leadership
The people responsible.
